Hello Everyone!
Deaf Equal Access Foundation, Inc (DEAF, Inc.) is pleased to announce that Helping Hands for the Deaf (HHD), a Deaf-owned, non-profit agency, has officially taken over DEAF, Inc. and will continue to provide essential services to the Deaf Community in Georgia.
For the past 20 years, DEAF, Inc. has been dedicated to providing interpreting services for family events not covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)for the Deaf community and their families at no charge. The organization has also been committed to providing advocacy and filing ADA complaints, handling a total of 1146 requests, providing 457 interpreters for various family events, and filing over 45 complaints to improve access and inclusion for the Deaf community.

In an effort to ensure continuity of services, DEAF, Inc. has transitioned its responsibilities to Helping Hands for the Deaf, a Deaf-owned agency, with the hope of ongoing support from the community.
DEAF, Inc. extends its sincere gratitude for the Board, interpreters, volunteers, and supporters for their invaluable contributions over the years. It is because of their dedication and support that access for the Deaf community in Georgia has greatly improved.

Moving forward, all requests for services should be directed to HHD at hrefhhandsusa@gmail.com or via VP at 678-228-8967.
For more information, or to sign up for services at HHD, please contact hhandsusa@gmail.com.

We are excited for this new chapter and are confident that Helping Hands for the Deaf will continue to server the Georgia Deaf community with the same level of dedication and care.
Thank You!
